UAI 2020 - Call for Papers

The Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence (UAI) is one of the premier international conferences on research related to learning and reasoning in the presence of uncertainty. UAI 2020 will be held in

Toronto, Canada, on Aug 3-6, 2020.

The main conference will take place on Aug 4-6th and the tutorials on Aug 3rd. The conference will be located immediately after the CogSci 2020 conference, to be held Jul 29 - Aug 1, 2020 in Toronto, Canada.

We solicit submission of papers which describe novel theory, methodology and applications related to machine learning and statistics. We welcome submissions by authors who are new to the UAI conference, or on new and emerging topics. We also encourage submissions on applications, especially those that inspire new methodologies or novel combinations of existing methodologies.

Submitted papers will be reviewed based on their novelty, technical quality, potential impact and clarity of writing. For papers that rely heavily on empirical evaluations, the experimental methods and results should be clear, well executed, and repeatable. Submissions that mark "applications" as the primary subject area will be reviewed according to appropriate criteria and by reviewers with appropriate backgrounds.

Important dates for authors

  • February 20, 23:59 CET, 2020: Paper submission deadline
  • April 13-20, 2020: Rebuttal period (authors can comment on initial reviews)
  • May 14, 2020: Decisions are sent to authors

Papers that are currently under review or have already been accepted or published in a refereed venue, including conferences and journals, may not be submitted. Authors are strongly encouraged to make data and code publicly available when possible.
